For the 2012 t-shirt, we are honoring our late friend and Penton family member Dane Liembach. Dane
was a great rider and ISDT gold medalist. He was also an outstanding mechanic and technician.
Those of us that knew him knew a quiet and unassuming person, always ready to help out where needed.
Dane possessed a vast amount technical knowledge of Penton motorcycles and also other brands.
An accomplished rider of top caliber in his time, Dane was partial to the 100cc Penton Berkshire,
and was known as Mr. 100 to most all of us. We are proud to feature one of his Enduro bikes on the
back of the shirt—the Berkshire 100cc. After mulling over the design for a while, I decided on a
yellow shirt. And then I found out at Vintage days from Toni Roach that yellow was Danes favorite
color. This was quite a surprise to me. Dane will always be in our thoughts, and is very sadly
